Ontario Airport On-site Parking

Ontario Airport’s on-site parking options are spread between lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, with valet parking for Terminals 2 and 4.

On-site facilities when overnight parking at Ontario Airport include a 24-hour parking office, free electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at the south side of Lots 2 and 4, and free motorcycle parking in lots 2 and 4. Ontario International Airport History

Ontario International Airport began life before World War II and in 1967, the City of Ontario and City of Los Angeles Department of Airports (LAWA) entered into an agreement meaning LAW would manage and operate ONT.

The City of Los Angeles became the owner of ONT in 1985, then in 2016, The City of Ontario took sole control of ONT — it’s now run by Ontario International Airport Authority (OIAA).

It’s a medium hub full service airport on a 1700 acre site and facilities consist of two main departure terminals of 570,000 square feet in combined total, an International Arrivals Terminal with nine aircraft parking spots and 26 passenger gates.

There are two parallel runways that are 10,200 and 12,200 feet long and as well as passenger activities, the airport is used extensively for air freight operations.

How to get to Ontario Airport

By car

From the Los Angeles area, take the San Bernardino Freeway Interstate 10 east and exit at Archibald Avenue. Then turn right and follow the ramp right into Ontario International Airport. Terminals and parking lots are clearly signposted.

From Long Beach, take the 605 Freeway north to I-10 and follow the above directions.

From the Orange County vicinity, follow the 57 Freeway north to I-10 east and follow the directions above.

From Riverside/Temecula areas, take the 15 Freeway north to I-10 west, exit at Archibald Avenue and follow the signs for the airport and terminals, which are prominently displayed.

From San Bernardino, take the I-10 west to Archibald Avenue, then follow the airport signage.

By bus

Companies like Greyhound, Flixbus and more can carry you to Ontario from almost any starting point in the US.

Once you arrive at Ontario bus station, simply catch a number 61 Omnitrans bus and you’ll be at ONT in 15 minutes.

By train

There are a couple of convenient options for rail travelers to ONT.

If you’re approach takes you through Pomona Station, alight here to connect to the route 61 bus which takes you directly to the airport.

Alternatively, East Ontario Metrolink Station is in closest proximity to the airport and passengers on this route should transfer to Omnitrans Route 81 here, get off at the Haven Avenue car rental facility and take the airport shuttle bus to the terminals.
